Sleep Theory took the stage at Stage AE in Pittsburgh on May 12, 2024, delivering a performance that matched and at times, soared above, the high bar set by the night's headliners, Nothing More. As the opening act, Sleep Theory was tasked with priming a crowd already buzzing with anticipation, and they rose to the occasion spectacularly with a setlist that drove the audience into a frenzy.

Kicking off with "Fallout," the band immediately tapped into the crowd’s energy, setting a vigorous pace. This momentum was carried forward with tracks like "Enough" and "Stuck in My Head," songs that showcase Sleep Theory’s unique blend of rock and pop sensibilities with a metalcore twist. The raw emotion of "Gone or Staying" and "Paralyzed" resonated deeply, eliciting a wave of cheers and sing-alongs from the crowd.

By the time they rolled into "Numb," the audience was electrified, participating in mosh pits and crowd surfing that transformed the venue into a sea of exhilaration. This track, in particular, highlighted the band’s ability to blend intense lyrics with compelling melodies, proving to be a high point of their performance.

Their performance left no questions as to why they are held in such high regard worldwide, complementing an evening that was a showcase of musical prowess across the board.

Sleep Theory's performance at Stage AE was a testament to their rising status in the music scene. They not only met the challenge of opening for an established act like Nothing More but also left a lasting impression that undoubtedly garnered them new fans. As the reverberations of the night lingered, it was clear that Sleep Theory is a band with a trajectory that’s aiming nowhere but up.
